Voice Lesson Information

Availability:  Weekly lessons are available Monday through Friday, in 30, 45, and 60 minute intervals. Students may request a specific time but I cannot guarantee it will be available. I will do my best to accommodate.  Lessons are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Locations: Students may attend afternoon and evening lessons at locations in South Naperville, Elgin Community College, Joliet Junior College, Naperville Central High School, or Oswego East High School,  NCHS and OEHS students may be able take lessons during the school day at Naperville if our schedules line up.

Tuition: Tuition is paid monthly, and is calculated by how many weeks are in that month.  It is due the last lesson taken in the current month, for the upcoming month.   Note: NCHS/OEHS students pay by the school quarter.

Rates: Weekly rates are competitive with other area lesson teachers.  Payment can be made via cash, check, Zelle, PayPal or Venmo.  Please contact me for current rates.

Materials: Students are to purchase the required materials for their lessons.  The music needed will be determined at the first lesson.  These items will last a long time, and can be used for recitals, auditions, solo and ensemble contests, competitions, etc.

Recitals: At least two Studio Recitals are held every year, and all students are strongly encouraged to participate.  Other outlets for community performance may be available during the course of the year.

 

Every lesson is designed around the specific needs of each student.  Everyone has different musical goals, and I am here to help those goals be met.  Skills taught during lessons include, but are not limited to:

  • Audition Preparation - School and Community Ensembles, Music Colleges/Universities/Conservatories, Scholarships, ILMEA, Solos, Competitive Summer Programs, Musicals...

  • Proper Breathing Technique
  • Sight-Reading/Aural Skills
  • Study of Classical, Jazz, and Musical Theatre Repertoire

  • Vocal Warm-Ups
